2025 is going to be great! Kiddos are swimming fast...
The league is off and running! :)
This season we have had one new individual record broken and then broken again! Logan Lin (Broadlands Piranhas), set for the Boys 11-12 50m Free. He set the new record of 27.68 on 6.14.25 vs Dulles Farms Devil Rays. He then broke his own new record of 27.50 on 6.21.25 vs the Willowsford South Waves.
There were no additional relay records broken on the 6.21.25, however, we were made aware of a set of times, awarded and recognized at All Stars last year, but never posted to the records board on our website.
On 6.29.24 the 13-14 Boys 100 Medley relay team of D. Nguyen, N. Rowley, L. Groves, and Y. Abbineni (Brambleton) broke the previous record of 1:01.30 (7.8.23) (Broadlands) with a 58.07.
Also on 6.29.24, the Girls’ 200 Free Open relay team of K. Franks, C. Franks, A. Roy, and S. Rocha (Willowsford North) swam a 2:06.58 to beat their standing record of 2:06.81 with a collective effort of 2:06.58.
Finally, the Men’s 200 Medley Relay, made up of C. Rice, C. Long, B.Rohr, and C. Wergley, swam a 1:54.67 (Stone Ridge) on 7.13.24 to better the prior record of 1:56.28 set on 6.29.24 (Lansdowne).
The individual record updates come through when the meet data is entered on deck into Swimtopia during the meet. The relay records are checked after every meet and updated manually.
Both the Individual and relay records are up to date and complete through 6.21.25.
Sorry for the recent delays and missteps, if you noticed any. Please remember to have some patience when dealing with mistakes, delays, or omissions you notice or are made aware of. We are all giving it our best effort, but we are volunteers and have busy lives, too! We do this for the kiddos. Try to stay on the positive side of things!
As food for thought, if you are really into the summer swim thing, I might suggest there are several openings on the ODSL board come October…come on out and get your feet wet. And you thought Stroke and Turn was fun! Lol!
